What is Amberbio Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil?
A rare wild Himalayan sea buckthorn seed oil, pressed from the seed of Hippophae rhamnoides using food-grade supercritical CO₂ extraction. Naturally rich in Omega-3 (α-linolenic acid), Omega-6 (linoleic acid) and Omega-9 (oleic acid). Preservative and additive-free.
How is it different from the Berry Oil?
The berry (pulp) oil is deep orange and naturally rich in Omega-7 and carotenoids. The seed oil is pale golden and carries the essential fatty acid spread — Omega-3, 6 and 9 — from the seed. They complement each other; many customers use both, one from each dropper bottle.
Where is it sourced and made?
The seeds come from wild sea buckthorn berries harvested by hand in Ladakh at 10,000–15,000 ft. Extraction is done in India using food-grade supercritical CO₂ — pressurised CO₂ pulls the oil out at low temperatures with no heat and no chemical solvents.
Is the Seed Oil also independently lab-tested?
Yes. Amberbio's Seed Oil is manufactured to the same food-grade supercritical CO₂ standard as our Berry Oil, by our Ladakh partner whose upstream analytical reports (NABL-accredited) confirm the Omega-3 / Omega-6 / Omega-9 profile of the seed extract. A batch-specific 2025 Certificate of Analysis is currently under independent re-analysis and will be published on /nutrition-sources on arrival. In the meantime, the interim NABL reference report is available on written request to hello@amberbio.in.
How do I use it on my skin?

What is the colour and consistency?
A pale golden, light-textured oil — noticeably lighter and less pigmented than the deep-orange berry oil. Absorbs cleanly and does not stain fabric at normal doses.

Store upright, sealed, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Best used within 24 months of manufacture. After opening, close the dropper firmly after each use and finish within 12 months for the freshest profile.
